Did you participate in the Hour of Code last week? The Hour of Code is
an initiative to bring the basics of programming into the classroom. Almost 74
million people from around the globe joined in the initiative. The Hour of Code
week might be over, but that doesn’t mean you miss out on the wonderful resource
to help you implement coding in the classroom.
As many of our schools move
toward some form of BYOD implementation in 2015 we could easily called 2015 the
“Year of BYOD”! It can often be daunting to think of all the different aspects
of a BYOD program and I’ll be doing my best in 2015 to collect, collate and
distribute our experiences and learnings to refine what we develop. For the
moment, here are two useful resources I came across over the last few weeks.
The first is a blog
from Darcy Moore of Dapto High and the other Merrylands High BYOD site. Feel free to
consider your own policies, procedures, software and systems in light of these
resources
